Our History

Before the establishment of Saline Legal Group, PLLC, Attorney Jeffery T. Hall practiced in association with Burke & Rennell, a law firm whose history in Washtenaw County stretched back more than a century.

The firm's roots dated to 1899, when attorneys Martin J. Cavanaugh and William W. Wedemeyer formed a law partnership in Ann Arbor. Over the decades, the firm operated under several names and included generations of prominent Washtenaw County attorneys, including members of the Burke family.

Among them was George J. Burke, who joined the firm in 1907 and went on to serve as Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney, help establish the Michigan Civil Service Commission, and serve as a judge during the post-World War II Nuremberg proceedings. Later generations continued the family's involvement in the practice and in public service.

Attorney Jeffery T. Hall subsequently practiced with Burke & Rennell before establishing Saline Legal Group, PLLC as his independent law practice.

Today, Saline Legal Group has its own identity and direction. While we respect the history of the attorneys and firms that came before us, our focus is firmly on the present: providing clients with experienced counsel, personal attention, and practical solutions to today's legal challenges.

In 2012, Attorney Jeffery T. Hall and Saline Legal Group, PLLC joined with the historic Ann Arbor law firm of Burke & Rennell. That association became an important chapter in Jeff's legal career and connected his growing Saline practice with a long tradition of legal service in Washtenaw County.

Today, Saline Legal Group, PLLC continues forward under Jeff's leadership with its own identity and a clear focus: providing experienced, practical, and personal legal representation to individuals, families, and businesses throughout Saline, Washtenaw County, and the surrounding communities.
